You're definitely right about this - there is SO much anger out there any more. And people assume the absolute worst of each other. :( I personally think it's a direct result of a country that has by and large left God, and have told Him to get away from them. But I don't know that it's new. David talked about it in Psalm 2:1:
"Why do the nations rage, and the peoples imagine a vain thing?"
