(who wouldn't want to help these kids out, such cute kids 💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓)
"works meet of repentance" for this week and the meriam webster dictionary definition of mercy: number 3: "compassionate treatment of those in distress"........................Matthew 23:23 "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone."
Luke 11:42 "But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone."
God clearly wasn't having a problem in Matthew 23:23 and Luke 11:42 with the pharisee's tithing vvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrry sparingly..............I do not know if the pharisee's gave a "full tithe" in the bible in Matthew 6:21 and Luke 11:42.............what I do know is it would be hard today to tithe in herbs, and mint, etc. I imagine it would of been hard back then to, that herbs couldn't be worth "that much"
NIV version of the bible............Malachi 3:10 "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it."
Malachi 3:10 in the NIV version of the bible talks about bringing in the "whole tithe" which points to the possibility of people doing "partial tithes" or what in american we call "offerings"
But also many jews probably are like me, and they will give some of their "tithe money" to charities............and then some of their "tithe money" to the church.............instead of bringing the Malachi 3:10 "whole tithe into the storehouse"
I am getting off the idea.......................give, do that, tithe jesus says jesus literally says keep tithing pharisee's and scribes and hypocrites in Matthew 23:23 and Luke 11:42 but also love people, be merciful and have faith etc.
Seems to be jesus is saying the "easy stuffs" is our wallets
the hard stuffs is really loving each other
(which ironically can happen with our wallets)
