My "works meet of repentance" for this week, and encouraging message for anybody battling depression (maybe feeling like your at the "end of the rope" like life is over for you)...........................

cain and able
in the bible
those two had the same amount of opportunity
what they did with their time, their hearts, their opportunity..........................was different
been thinking a lot about this bible verse....................................
Ecclesiastes 9:11 "I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all."

people could be waiting for me to be a failure, 

deeming me to be a failure - expecting that

thinking "well look at her, a not to bright marilyn monroe impersonator she is surely doomed to fail at life"

but the daily act of being in god's word

praying

going to bible study

that will make a difference

that will be the difference

I don't have to see it fully yet to know it is going to happen!

the time I put in to go to bible study

to go to church

to pray 

to read my bible

TIME IS IMPORTANT

HOW WE SPEND IT DETERMINES OUR LIVES OFTEN!

(Chance to out there so some are going to theoretically get lucky out there......................aka accepting christ as their personal savior at their deathbed, maybe that could be considered a lucky thing to of happened to a person --------- it ain't unlucky to be saved..........amen!) 

Ephesians 5:16 "Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." In ephesians 5:16 where it says "because the days are evil" that really speaks to me this morning that it's very important to make good use of our time.............cause the days are evil, there is a never ending onslaught of things being marketed to us all whether via internet, or via our mailboxes, commercials on tv. To get us to want to liposuction our bodies, and get our faces stretched out at the dr's....................................lot's out there trying to grab if you will our time. 

   Time happens to people I have found (so does chance) time does happen to people. It clearly doesn't always happen to me "awesomely".............todays a new day for all of us, a new day, a fresh day to use our time well!

   I watched this morning and bit last night a documentary on marilyn monroe's life, and it could very well be that she really did get to believing that her life "was over"........................in hollywood there has been a idea that people are "washed up" in the past. The guy in the clip below calls marilyn "the late marilyn monroe" sure he could've meant just that she was late..............but he could've been insinuating much more, that her career was "washed up".................

   Maybe you are middle aged like me, maybe you don't have the fancy house, the fancy cars, etc. etc. that you were once super sure you were going to have.......................maybe your career ended even.....................

your life is not over!

Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." I cannot say what my future is or what your future is. But know god isMIGHTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
